Standard and Dwarf ('Ben Davis' x 'McIntosh') New York, 1915. An older, well-known variety. Medium-sized and bright red with a sprightly tropical flavor. White flesh holds its color well after being cut. Excellent for eating and cooking. Ripens mid September
