About us

Abrahamson Nurseries was founded in Scandia in 1928 as a grower of nursery stock. Since then, we have expanded to include landscape design and installation  services, greenhouse production, and retail garden centers. In 1982, we opened our Stillwater location, and in 2010, we opened our St. Croix Falls location. All three locations have fully stocked garden centers and a wide range of plant and hard-good materials. Abrahamsons also has professional, knowledgeable, and experienced landscape designers on staff who will work with you to create the ideal landscape plan for your home. We truly are your one-stop-shop for all your lawn and landscape projects!

NURSERY PRODUCTION

Since we opened our doors way back in 1928, we have been nursery growers.  The process and plants have changed, but our commitment to quality plants has not.  We grow our own perennials, shrubs, trees, evergreens, and fruits in our growing ranges at our Scandia location.  We strive to provide a large selection of hardy plants so that you can choose between the tried and true old standards as well as new and exciting varieties.  But you can always trust that we’ve done our homework on what plants will thrive in our area, and we can help you choose the right plant for your landscape.

GREENHOUSE PRODUCTION

In 2010, we began growing our own annuals in our new greenhouse at our St. Croix Falls location. With 40,000 square feet of combined greenhouse space, we can produce annuals and small perennials to stock all three of our locations. Our grower has excellent knowledge of greenhouse products and knows how to produce the highest quality plant material for the best possible value.

LANDSCAPE DESIGN AND INSTALLATION

Our design and installation crews specialize in both residential and commercial work. Our designers have many years of experience in the design office and the field. This experience, plus a formal education in landscape architecture results in a well-rounded design team. Our installers and designers will work together to ensure every detail of your plan is correctly installed. Our experience, education, and training are an unbeatable combination that lets you know you are getting the best possible service.
